Guided climbing in Picos de Europa – Aguja de la Canalona technical sheet
This spectacular spire is located in the central massif of the Picos de Europa National Park. This is a classic route with a beautiful summit: aerial and spectacular, from which we can be enraptured with the other emblematic summits and places that surround this needle, such as the Peña Vieja, Torre de las Coteras Rojas, Cabaña Verónica…
Peak that can not be missed for those who are getting started in classic climbing in Picos de Europa.
It is considered an initiation climb in a privileged enclave of High Mountain, a relatively comfortable approach of about two hours during which we will advance under the slopes of Peña Olvidada and Peña Vieja, and next to the lakes of Lloroza, always with the spectacular cliff of Horcados Rojos accompanying us in the background.
An unforgettable experience, as well as ideal as a first contact with mountaineering and climbing.
Opened on August 8, 1948 by José A. Odriozola and Alfonso Alonso with the brothers Alfonso and Juan Tomás Martínez, guides of Cabrales at that time.
